Terms of Sale & Refund Policy

These Terms of Sale and Refund Policy apply when you buy digital products, resources, programmes, training, memberships or other services directly from us through onlinebusinessmanager.com. They are separate from our Website Terms of Use, which govern your general use of the site, and from our Privacy Policy and AI Policy.

Please read these terms before you buy. By completing a purchase, you confirm that you accept them, including the refund and cancellation terms set out below.

Who You are Buying From

The International Association of Online Business Managers (IAOBM) is a trading name of Thrive Business Support Services Limited, a company registered in England and Wales.

In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Thrive Business Support Services Limited trading as IAOBM, and "you" means the person buying from us.

What These Terms Cover

These terms cover purchases made directly from us, which may include digital products and downloads, templates and toolkits, recordings, online programmes and training, mentoring, assessment and certification support, memberships, and other paid resources or services.

They do not cover enrolment in the Certified OBM® Programme delivered by an approved Certified OBM® Trainer. Those enrolments are contracted directly between you and your chosen trainer, and the trainer's own terms apply. See the Certified OBM® Programme section below.

How Your Order Is Accepted

When you place an order, you are making an offer to buy. Your order is accepted, and a contract is formed between you and us, when we send you an order confirmation or give you access to what you have bought, whichever happens first. If we cannot accept your order, we will tell you and will not charge you, or we will refund any payment already taken.

Prices and Payment

Prices are shown at checkout and may change from time to time, but a change will not affect an order we have already accepted.

Unless stated otherwise, prices are shown in [insert currency], and you are responsible for any taxes, duties or charges that apply in your own country. Where VAT or another sales tax applies to your purchase, this will be shown at checkout.

Payment is taken at the time of purchase, or in line with the payment plan you choose. You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method you provide.

Payment Plans

Where you buy through a payment plan, you are agreeing to pay the full price, spread across the agreed instalments. A payment plan is a way to spread the cost. It is not a subscription and does not reduce the total amount due.

If a payment fails or is missed, we may pause your access until the account is brought up to date, and the full outstanding balance may become due. This does not affect the cancellation rights set out in the Refunds and cancellations section below.

Access and Delivery

For digital products and programmes, we will give you access by the method shown at checkout, such as a download link, delivery email, member area or portal. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for not sharing access with anyone else.

If you have any trouble accessing what you have bought, contact us at [insert sales or support email] and we will do our best to help you gain access.

License to Buy

When you buy digital products, programme materials, templates, recordings or similar, we give you a limited, personal, non-transferable and non-exclusive licence to use them for your own business and learning. You do not own the materials, and all intellectual property rights remain with us or our licensors.

Unless we agree otherwise in writing, you must not:

- copy, share, resell, sublicense, distribute or publish the materials

- share your login or give anyone else access to paid content

- modify the materials, or create derivative works from them to sell or distribute

- use the materials to train any artificial intelligence tool or model

- present our materials, frameworks or trademarks as your own

Certified OBM® and Certified Online Business Manager® are registered and or pending trademarks of IAOBM in the United States and around the world, and may only be used as permitted by us in writing.

Memberships & Community Spaces

Where your purchase includes membership, or access to a community or live sessions, you agree to take part respectfully and not to behave in a way that is abusive, harassing, discriminatory, disruptive or unlawful. We may remove content, or suspend or end access, where someone breaches these terms, and we will act reasonably when we do.

What You Can Expect from Us, and What We Do Not Promise

We take care to provide content and services that are as described and of satisfactory quality, and nothing in these terms removes the rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.

Our programmes, training and resources are designed to support and educate. They are provided for your information and development, and are not a guarantee of any particular outcome. We do not promise specific results, income, client numbers or business success, because these depend on many factors outside our control, including your own actions and circumstances.

The content we provide is not legal, financial, tax or other professional advice, and you should seek appropriate professional advice before making decisions for your own business.

Our Liability to You

We do not exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any consumer rights that cannot be excluded.

Subject to that, we are not liable for business losses, loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of opportunity or loss of data, and our total liability to you in connection with any purchase will not exceed the amount you paid for that purchase.

Changes to Programmes

From time to time we may need to make reasonable changes to a programme, such as adjusting the schedule, content, format, or the trainers or mentors involved. Where a change is significant, we will tell you. These terms apply to any updated or replacement content in the same way.

Certified OBM® Programme

Enrolment in the Certified OBM® Programme delivered by an approved Certified OBM® Trainer is contracted directly between you and your trainer, not with us. Refunds, cancellations, payment plans, deferrals, access and student support for that programme are governed by your trainer's terms. We are not responsible for issuing refunds or handling disputes relating to enrolments made directly with a trainer.

Refunds and Cancellations

This section sets out your cancellation rights and when refunds are and are not available for purchases made directly from us. Because our products and programmes include digital content and access-based services, purchases are final once your cancellation period has ended or, for digital content, once access has begun with your consent, except where the law gives you rights that cannot be excluded.

Your 14-day Cancellation Right

For most purchases made online, consumers in the UK and EU have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason. How this works depends on what you have bought.

Digital products, downloads and resources. To give you immediate access, we will ask you at checkout to agree that access starts straight away and to confirm that you understand you give up your 14-day cancellation right once that access begins. If you give that consent and we provide access, your purchase is final from that point. If you prefer not to give that consent, your access will begin after the 14-day period has ended.

Programmes, training, mentoring and live or recorded content. If you ask us to begin, or to give you access, during the 14-day period, you can still cancel within those 14 days. If you cancel within that time, we will refund what you have paid, less a fair amount for any part of the programme that has already been delivered or made available to you up to the point you cancel. Once the 14 days have passed, or the programme has been fully delivered, this cancellation right no longer applies.

To cancel within your 14-day period, email us at [insert sales or support email] with your order details. We will process any refund due within 14 days of receiving your cancellation

After The Cancellation Period

Once your 14-day cancellation period has ended, your purchase is final and we do not offer refunds for a change of mind.

This applies whether or not you have watched all the lessons, attended the live sessions, downloaded the resources, completed the assignments, used the support available, or accessed the full certification process, and whether or not you later decide the programme is no longer suitable for your circumstances.

Where a programme includes lifetime access, ongoing portal access, or access beyond the live delivery period, that extended access forms part of the value of your purchase and does not create a separate refund right.

Faulty, incorrect or unavailable content

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights if digital content or a service is faulty, not as described, unavailable, or supplied incorrectly. These protections apply to all our customers, wherever in the world you live. If you believe there is a problem with your purchase, contact us at [insert sales or support email] with your order details and a brief explanation, and we will put it right. Depending on the issue, that may include fixing the problem, re-supplying the content, or providing a refund where appropriate.

Missed Session or non-use

Outside your 14-day cancellation period, refunds are not provided where you do not attend live sessions, do not watch recordings, do not complete assignments, do not use the resources, change your mind, or no longer need the programme after access has been granted.

Exceptional Circumstances

We may, at our discretion, consider exceptional circumstances for purchases made directly from us. Any remedy we offer may include extended access, transfer to a future cohort, additional support, credit, or another solution we consider appropriate. We are not obliged to offer a cash refund unless required by law.

Certified OBM® Programme Refunds

Refunds and cancellations for the Certified OBM® Programme delivered by an approved trainer are handled by your trainer under their own terms, not by us. See the Certified OBM® Programme section above.

International Customers

We work with customers around the world, and you are just as welcome wherever you are based. The 14-day cooling-off right described above is a specific feature of UK and EU law, so it applies to customers in those regions. If you live elsewhere, your rights depend on the consumer law in your own country, and where that law gives you rights that cannot legally be excluded, these terms do not limit them. Whichever country you are in, the protections in the "Faulty, incorrect or unavailable content" section above apply to you, because we want every customer to get what they paid for. Prices, taxes and currency are dealt with at checkout.

Governing Law

These terms, and any dispute relating to them, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer living elsewhere, you may also have the right to bring proceedings in your own country and to rely on the consumer protections that apply there.
