Ah the never ending to-do list… we all know what it is like to be buried in the onslaught of tasks and projects from our clients. Can become quite overwhelming at times! Especially when it feels like everything has a deadline of NOW.
A good rule of thumb for those moments is to ask yourself – what is closest to the money?
Consider it from the perspective of helping our clients grow their business – look at your list and consider what tasks are closest to the money. What tasks could have the biggest impact on the bottom line? For example, you need to get an email out to a potential JV partner vs. fixing an error on a website… even though the second could have been on your to-do for a while now and feel really annoying, it’s the first task that takes precedence here.
Sort your tasks from this perspective and you will always have your eye on what really counts.
