Thanks for the great tips. I love Lena's spirit and am very relieved to know I do not need to write War and Peace. Whew! That has been a worry of mine that I need something really clever that someone will be interested in and that I need to write something long that resembles an ezine. I am feeling better about social media already! :)

ok so first have to own up to hiding away from social media because I know nothingmuch about it and yes I use any excuse to avoid it. So, the aha moment is when I realise how FREEing it is to be prepared and 'save time' instead of taking time to hide away. Makes good sense.

Hi Tina and Lena,
In the first video we learned about finding the right destination for our social media journey and in this one I can being to see a pattern of strategy forming. Short concise blog posts that can be easily transfered to twitter, facebook and beyond is a great idea and a really good start. 900 words per week to a focused audience, genius!

Thanks again,
Renee

Hi there, loved it. Most valuable was the 900 words per week and the suggestion that if you cannot write that much about your topic in a week, the problem is located elsewhere, not in "mystic" social media. It helped me to curiously explore what then are or would be the real problems underneath. As I am just starting out, for me it wouldn't be so much about not having enough words (as you can see in the comment :-)), it would be about really breaking complex stuff down into digestable bits, as it seems, people don't like to read longer stuff. So I need to gain more clarity and I need to structure the content first, kind of making a list of topics, how they connect or build on each other etc.. I really understood that social media is a strategic tool for growing a business and connecting to potential "prospects" and I have to separate this from the original "connecting with friends for fun". Basically I have the same conflict here that I had with MLM, mixing friends and business doesn't work for me, which is one reason why I shy away from it. So I really need to be clear about this and build a strategy. The video also made it clear that it is useful to have basic knowlege on the simple nuts and bolts of this social media thing, trial and error is may be not the best approach. Thanks for this.

Thanks for another great video! I loved the tip that saying you don't have time to learn social media is not an excuse! I know that I do this exact thing! The whole concept of using social media for marketing purposes scares me and I had been (unknowingly) using the excuse that I don't have time to learn it because it overwhelms me. Thanks for shedding light on this and giving me the boot in the butt to get moving on this important skill set!! :)

I love the perspective of having just 900 words a week to say about your business. Saying it like that seems so much more clear, simple and necessary.
Thanks again ladies!

Thanks for the great insight into keeping it simple for blog posts (approx 250-300 words). We can write a series of posts (2-3) on one subject and spread them throughout the week. That was an Ah-Ha for me. If a blog post is turning out really long, then break it into smaller posts, thus saving overall time.

Thanks Lena and Tina!

Absolutely love the framing, "if you don't have 900 words a week to say about your business you've got much bigger problems than social media." CLASSIC! I'm gonna borrow that, (with full attribution of course!) Great way to make the issue crystal clear for clients!
